  Just this year I have ventured a little into water colour work, having decided to acquaint
 myself with a larger network of artists, and also joined the Watercolour Society of  WA

  Now in retirement, the opportunity to learn from others was the motivation. And as line and
 wash work well together with water colour, I feel this can only improve my work. 

  I remember once as a young apprentice carpenter and joiner, our technical drawing tutor
 said "just off the cuff, from what I've seen, you'd make a better draftsman than a chippie".

  I don't know about that, but I do like drawing buildings. Perspective and tone are the main
 building blocks to most of my work.
